It is a pleasure to invite you to the Special Issue in Cells entitled:

 NF-κB Signaling in Inflammation: Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Targets.”
The international journal Cells, an open-access journal indexed in PubMed, has launched a Special Issue dedicated to the role of the NF-κB signaling pathway in inflammatory processes, with a particular focus on molecular mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications.

NF-κB is a key regulator of immune and inflammatory responses, cell survival, and tissue homeostasis. Aberrant activation of NF-κB signaling is involved in numerous acute and chronic diseases, including cancer. Despite decades of research, NF-κB continues to emerge as a highly dynamic signaling system that is strongly dependent on the biological context.

This Special Issue aims to provide an up-to-date overview of recent advances in the study of NF-κB signaling, including:

  • Canonical and non-canonical NF-κB pathways
  • Upstream signaling events
  • Post-translational modifications
  • Interactions with other signaling pathways
  • Development of pharmacological or biological strategies targeting components of the NF-κB pathway
  • New perspectives on the molecular mechanisms controlling NF-κB activation
  • Innovative studies on the role of the pathway in inflammatory and chronic diseases
  • Emerging therapeutic approaches and potential pharmacological targets
  • Original contributions and review articles from international research groups
