Bringing back the work of the cook in its human dimension: this is what emerged during the national conference “Professione Cuoco: un lavoro usurante” (“The Cook Profession: an exhausting job”) promoted by the Italian Cooks Federation and by the Regional Union of Abruzzo Cooks, at the Aurum Art Gallery.

To be part of the initiative, the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies, Tiziana Nisini, the National President of the Italian Federation of Chefs, Rocco Pozzulo, the President of the Regional Union of Abruzzo Chefs, Lorenzo Pace, the chef Davide Oldani (D’O** Restaurant, Milan) together to discuss the necessary inclusion of the chef’s profession among the demanding jobs, in order to encourage early access to retirement.

They were joined by Giuseppe Ferraro, Head of the Labor Department of the FIC (Italian Federation of Chefs), Antonio Cerasa (CNR researcher) and Martino Ruggieri, chef of the Pavillon Ledoyen*** restaurant in Paris.
