Dr Giulia Gentile

Technologist

Graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Messina (2006), she attended a post-graduate master's degree in bioinformatics technologies at the Sardegna Ricerche Technology Park in Cagliari (2007-2008). She worked in the Toxicogenomics and Proteomics laboratories of the European Drug Safety & Metabolism Toxicological Research Center of Wyeth Lederle S.p.A., then Pfizer Group, lastly Myrmex S.p.A. (public-private laboratory with the CNR-IBB DM20919) (2008-2013). She obtained a fellowship as a Bioinformatics Researcher at the CNR Institute of Neurological Sciences (ISN) in Catania (PON CTN01_00177_817708 - Cluster Alisei) (2014-2015). She worked as a 3rd level Technologist at the New Generation Sequencing laboratory of CNR-ISN in Cosenza (2016-2017). Since 2018, she has been working as a 3rd level Technologist at the CNR-ISN, then IRIB, in Catania. She has been a member of the Italian Society of Biometrics (SIB) since 2019. At the IRIB, her research support activity is focused on the use of high-throughput genomic technologies and bioinformatics data analysis applied to neurodegeneration and oncology fields.
