- Role of natural killer (NK) cells in the innate immune response;
- In vivo study of neurodegenerative phenomena after systemic and local administration of different substances in experimental animals;
- Molecular mechanisms involved in the intracellular Ca++ homeostasis in PC12 cells treated with various receptor agonists;
- In vivo" behavioural studies on the processes underlying neuropathic pain;
- In vivo" and "in vitro" studies on the effects of reperfusion after transient ischaemia in gerbils;
- Spectrophotometric analysis of the enzymatic kinetics of known and newly synthesised substances as competitive inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase of torpedine (Torpedo californica);
- Role of olive oil polyphenols in the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases in humans.
