PO FESR 2014/2020 Action 1.1.5 – Support for the technological advancement of companies through the financing of pilot lines and early validation of product and large-scale demonstration actions. COD PROJECT 086202000366, first in the evaluation ranking
Aim
Analysis and identification of biological interactions involved in the development and progression of cancer pathologies, by means of new statistical and computational approaches for the integration of data from public databases and experimental data generated ad hoc using cellular models of breast cancer.
Actions
In the biomedical field, the access to an enormous amount of data (big data) on the one hand can be considered an advantage for the researcher, on the other hand, it places the investigator in front of information that are difficult to consult and to manipulate. So far, it is not available a single tool that integrates information from two broad fields of biomedical research, such as transcriptomics/ proteomics and medicinal chemistry. The project involves the creation of an expert system for the enhancement and integration of data already in the possession of the partners, data from public domain databases, and additional experimental data that will be gradually produced during the project phases. The study will mainly focus on the interactions between different biological molecules that result altered in tumor pathologies.
