Dr Valeria Longo

Researcher

Education: After graduating in Biological Sciences (110/110 cum laude) from the University of Palermo in 2003, she continued her training obtaining a PhD in Cellular and Developmental Biology.
In 2007 she began working as a research fellow and then as a temporary researcher (2014) in the Molecular Allergology Group at the Institute of Molecular Biomedicine and Immunology (IBIM) of the National Research Council of Palermo. Today she is Researcher at the Institute for Biomedical Research and Innovation (IRIB).

Research Activity:
- Molecular and Translational Biomedicine applied to the adverse outcomes of the immune response;
- study of the pathogenic molecular mechanisms induced by allergenic molecule and anthropic environmental pollutants.
