I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Rome Tor Vergata with a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology. I obtained my Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium, where I discovered a new role for the Fragile X Mental Retardation Protein in breast cancer progression.
My scientific work has been published in several high-quality peer-reviewed journals, and part of my research is protected by a registered patent. I also work as a project manager and scientific writer for Horizon Europe SME Instrument, and I serve as a reviewer for multiple peer-review journals.
I joined the National Research Council (CNR) in 2019, where I am currently a Senior Researcher and Head of the JOI-A (Joint Lab for Organ-on-Chip and Integrated AI) Lab.
