Research focuses on the molecular characterization of human aging and its links to cancer and degenerative diseases, investigating the interplay of repetitive DNA sequences (e.g., LINE-1, HERVs, satellites), non-coding RNAs, nuclear architecture, and the cellular microenvironment. Trained in genetics, molecular and cell biology, and computational biology, he leads the Molecular Aging Laboratory (M.AGE Lab) and the Institute’s Teaching Laboratory.
